Quotes for the Journey: Origins Welcome to Quotes for the Journey! I certainly am glad that you're here, and I hope that you've been able to find something that will be useful to you on your journey through this amazing thing that we call "life."

This site came about simply as a result of my love for sharing positive quotations about life and living.  I started collecting them many years ago, and I've been adding to my collection regularly.  I have books, notepads, albums, even shoeboxes full of quotations and articles and even stories and novels that talk of being happy, being fulfilled, and enjoying the lives that we've been given as an incredible gift.      I've been on this planet for over four decades.  The nest is empty now, and I have plenty of time to work on hobbies and interests, and one of the things I wanted to do most was to share the quotations that I've collected over the years with others.  They've been incredibly valuable to me, and just reading them and thinking about the messages has helped me to get through many hard times, through grief and anxiety and even a moment or two of desperation.     I hope that you enjoy the site.  It's here for you, not for me, and I've put it online with the simple goal of sharing so many things that have been so helpful to me.      I'm not sure if I'm going to offer more on the site in the future.  I look around and see many sites that offer much, much more, but I have a feeling inside that I want to focus solely on the quotes.  I have to respect that feeling for now.  If it changes in the future, then I'll know that I should add more.  Until then, I hope that you'll enjoy what's here.     Wherever you are in your journey of life, I wish you all the best, and I hope that your road ahead is full of good health, hope, peace and much, much love! yours, Emily Perkins
